Dr. Lily Repa
Psychologist
Weekdays. Adolescents and adults.
I received my Doctor of Psychology in clinical psychology (PsyD) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Since 2016, I have held both inpatient and outpatient clinical training positions at various Eastern Health sites in St. John’s and rural Newfoundland where I gained experience with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, health and rehabilitation, ADHD and learning disorders, and substance use disorders with patients across the lifespan. I completed my predoctoral residency at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. During my doctoral studies, I was also actively involved in research and teaching, and have publications in the journals Sleep, Sleep Health, and the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration.
My primary areas of practice include the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders (i.e., social anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, etc.), and insomnia. I also provide supportive counselling to address issues related to relationships, self-esteem, and life stress. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach primarily informed by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In every case, I endeavour to develop a strong therapeutic alliance with my patients that fosters trust and hope, and sets the stage for the implementation of a client-centred and collaborative treatment plan. I provide treatment to adolescents and adults and I provide assessment to children, adolescents and adults.
